Born in the United States, raised in Brazil and based in France, Bianca Maretti’s trajectory shaped a rich cultural perspective that she carries into her work. As a conductor, she views herself as a catalyst for change and is committed to fostering a critical perspective on the classical music industry while exploring innovative ways to bridge the gap between musicians and audiences. Deeply engaged in the promotion of women and American composers, she actively works to integrate their voices in the classical repertoire. Through her doctoral research, Bianca has gained a deep understanding of the orchestral world that she puts into action towards the development of a more equal, diverse and inclusive musical landscape.
